World-renowned expert Dr. Jean Dodds will discuss canine thyroid disease. Thyroid hormone is essential to every aspect of health. Each year, countless dogs suffer needlessly – and many die – from the easily treatable condition caused by low thyroid (hypothyroidism).

About Dr. Dodds

W. Jean Dodds, DVM has spent 5 decades in hematology and immunology research and diagnostic veterinary clinical pathology. Dr. Dodds has over 150 research publications and holds 27 patents. She started Hemopet in 1986, the first non-profit national animal blood bank. Today, Hemopet’s range of nonprofit services and educational activities include: providing canine blood components and related services; adopting retired Greyhound blood donors as companions; and the Hemolife diagnostic division focused on hematology and blood banking, immunology, endocrinology, nutrition and holistic medicine (www.hemopet.org). She has a longstanding association and committee membership with the AHVMA and AHVMF. Dr. Dodds has written 2 popular award-winning pet health books together with Diana Laverdure; with a new one in press.
